So this is a big day in the life of this webcomic. 5 years ago, I uploaded the first twenty pages and this comic was born online. It’s been a wonder-filled journey, a struggle with my own inner demons of fear and doubt and a welcome blossoming of the skills that I let lay fallow for over a decade. I’ve had a few hiccups in the last year and a half, but I’m working on making sure that doesn’t happen again. And, I feel that I’ve maintained a very good (if not perfect) schedule of weekly Thursday updates.

Checking my webalizer, I see that there are still a good amount of people checking the website out, and I’m grateful for that. As always, please drop a line; I’d love to hear from you.

As this story zooms to its conclusion, I’m looking towards the future. I have the next chapter lined up and a rough idea for a third. For those, I’m going to go in one of two directions:

  1. I start a Patreon, with a goal of making this my paying ‘gig’, continuing updates weekly. If I get enough donations than I’ll increase my pages to two a week, which is frankly as fast as I could absolutely do it. Also, I have some print items as incentives and, for high level Patrons, some original art.
  2. I move to the realm of E-books. Now, by the summer I’ll have collections for this story available (with extra pages of content) regardless of what direction I take.

Now this story you’ve been reading will always be available, for free, online. It is my gift to you. But going forward, I’m going to have to find a way to make this pay, at least a little bit. I look forward to hear your thoughts on the matter. There may be things you’d want that I haven’t thought of. In any case, Thanks for listening and thanks for reading for the last five years.
